Come to the FLC concert hall tonight at 7pm before the SEED dance performance to swap seeds with the Southwest Seed library and see the Seed alter created by Lee Anne Hill of the Mancos Seed Library. Locally made seed jewelry will be for sale and Turtle Lake refuge will be offering refreshments. What a way to honor our sacred seeds!

Hi all. We hope you are having a lovely spring and have been taking advantage of the Seed Library’s selection for your early planting.
The Southwest Seed Library is looking for 2 new core members. It is not very time consuming, but reliability and dedication are important! Seed saving knowledge is not necessary, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
The main things would be event planning and executing, library maintenance, advertising, workshop teaching, and coming to our occasional food/wine/planning get- togethers.
We are passionate about changing our food system and empowering our community in self-sufficiency.
Please call Monea Monroe if you are interested or want to know more.
Ok, just updated the “How to Use the Seed Library” page – very detailed instructions, for those of you who’ve been wanting to check it out, but haven’t yet. Happy growing!
